Frequently asked questions
Does The Call make real phone calls?
No. The Call is an entertainment app that simulates an incoming call on your own phone at a time you schedule. It never dials anyone and never uses your real phone line.
How do I set up a fake call?
Tap “New Call,” enter a caller name and number, add a photo if you like, choose Audio or Video, pick when it should ring and how many times, then Save. Or use Quick Escape on the home screen to ring in 10, 30, or 60 seconds.
Will it ring if the app is closed?
Yes — if you allow notifications, the call is scheduled with a local notification. Tap the notification to open the full-screen call. For best reliability, keep notifications enabled for The Call.
What’s free vs. paid?
Everything is free for 14 days. After that, a one-time $2.98 unlock keeps premium features: video calls, custom photos, unlimited callers, and the fake-voice conversation.
I paid but features are locked. / I got a new phone.
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Your unlock is tied to your Apple ID and restores for free.
How do I add my own photo to a caller?
On the New/Edit Call screen, tap the “+ Photo” circle and choose an image. It stays on your device only.
🎬 Please use The Call responsibly and kindly — it’s made for lighthearted, harmless exits, not to deceive, harass, or harm anyone.
Terms of Use
By downloading or using The Call, you agree to these terms.
1. What the app is
The Call is a novelty/entertainment application that simulates incoming phone calls on your own device. It does not place, receive, or route real telephone calls, and it is not a communications or emergency service.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use The Call only for lawful, good-natured purposes. You must not use it to deceive for fraudulent gain, to harass, threaten, stalk, or harm any person, to interfere with employment or legal obligations in a way that causes harm, or in any manner that violates applicable laws. You are solely responsible for how and when you use simulated calls.
3. No reliance
The app relies on your device’s notification scheduling, which can be affected by Low Power Mode, Focus/Do Not Disturb, Force-Quit, or system settings. Do not rely on The Call for anything important, time-critical, or safety-related.
4. Purchases
Premium features are unlocked via a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. Billing, refunds, and restoration are handled by Apple under the terms of the App Store. The free trial period is provided within the app and may change for future versions.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its design, and its content are owned by Jung Studios LLC. Photos and text you add remain yours; you grant the app permission to store and display them locally on your device to provide the feature.
6. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Call is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jung Studios LLC is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. You use it at your own discretion and risk.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves; the current version will always be posted here.
